GCSE/IGCSE → A-Level → admissions tests and UCAS
Lessons that follow your child's school course from Year 9 to Year 13, and support all the way to a university offer. You can choose a tutor who lives in the UK and studied at a UK school and university.
Nansu Juku began by teaching Japanese families living abroad, and families of any nationality are welcome. Lessons can be taught fully in English, and all our course materials are written in both English and Japanese.
Marking follows the official mark schemes of your child's exam board, and progress, homework and weak points are shared with parents through the Student Portal. Fees for lessons taught fully in English depend on the tutor, so we confirm them at the free consultation.
You choose a tutor for each subject, so one subject can have a standard tutor and another a UK-based tutor.
Students can start in any year. Admissions tests and dates change by university and year, so we update the plan with the latest information in the year you apply.

Foundations and subject choices
Build a strong base in maths and science, and choose GCSE/IGCSE subjects and tiers together.
Year 10–11
GCSE/IGCSE
Topic past papers, then full papers, aiming for top grades so every A-Level option stays open.
Year 12
A-Level and choosing universities
Choose target universities alongside A-Level and start preparing for TMUA, STEP, UCAT and other tests.
Year 13 autumn
Tests and applications
Oxford, Cambridge and most medicine courses take applications and tests in the autumn; other universities follow in winter.

Monthly fee = standard support ¥4,000 (one per student) + lesson fee for each subject. All prices include tax and are in Japanese yen. The table shows lessons taught in Japanese; lessons taught fully in English are priced by tutor.

Yes. We schedule lessons for UK weekday evenings or weekends. Many schools limit phone and device time, so we check the available times and device at the consultation first.
That's fine. We can usually tell from the syllabus, timetable or worksheets, and we can help you ask the school.
Yes. Lessons are online, so they continue with the same tutor; we adjust the time for the time difference.
Yes, students can start in any year. An initial assessment shows where they are, and we plan from the time left before applications and exams.
