9 tutors currently teach at Nansu Juku. They came through IGCSE, A-Level and the IB Diploma at international and IB schools, and now study economics, business, medicine and biomedical science at universities in the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan. All of them teach in English; most also teach in Japanese.
Every tutor studied under Cambridge, Edexcel or the IB and sat the papers your child will sit. They remember what a mark scheme rewards and what it silently penalises, because it happened to them a few years ago, not a generation ago.
Our tutors hold places at the London School of Economics, Nanyang Technological University, Monash University and, in Japan, The Jikei University School of Medicine and Waseda. The application path from an international school to a top university is one they have walked.
Japanese maths education insists on understanding why a method works and then on volume: enough practice that the method becomes automatic. Our tutors grew up in that system and teach that way, in English, Japanese, or both.
Several tutors hold IELTS 7.5 to 8.0 or Eiken Grade 1; several also hold JLPT or grew up in Japanese schools. If an explanation gets stuck in one language, they switch to the other rather than talking around it.

Head office assigns the tutor after the free consultation, based on the school's curriculum, the subjects needed and the language the student thinks in. A trial lesson comes first; the match can be changed.
Lessons are recorded on Zoom and reviewed by head office, which decides the next step with the tutor. Homework, marking and the weakness log are visible to head office and to parents, so no lesson is a black box.
Your contact is head office, not the individual tutor. If a tutor's university timetable changes, the record, the materials and the plan stay exactly where they were.
Tutors are paid a proper rate for a proper lesson. That is how we keep people of this calibre teaching, and it is why we ask you to judge us on results rather than on being the cheapest.
Tell us your child's school, year group and goals. We reply in English within three working days and offer a 30-minute Zoom consultation, free of charge.
