A-Level course details

For students taking maths at A-Level (Year 12–13). We teach Mathematics and Further Mathematics and prepare students for university entrance.

Aiming for the A* / A that target universities require, students learn to choose the right method and write answers that meet the mark scheme.

• Study planned around university offer conditions
• The ability to judge which method fits a problem, not just memorise formulae
• The ability to review their own work against the official mark scheme

One-to-one online lessons, taught in English as standard. Lessons start at 2 hours, usually four a month.

• Charged by the hour; subjects and number of lessons are planned at the consultation
• Monthly online parent meeting
• Monthly written report, plus homework management and marking support

Lessons run in this order: reviewing answers → unit teaching → past-paper practice → updating the plan by working back from applications.

• Lost marks are sorted into method, arithmetic and notation
• Starting from definitions and theorems, leading into worked examples and how each paper asks questions
• From topic practice to whole papers by year
• The plan is updated around target universities, required grades and exam dates

We use our own Pure, Mechanics and Statistics textbooks, a solution-pattern atlas, past papers with explanations and topic practice.

Centred on Cambridge / Edexcel maths: Pure, Mechanics and Statistics, stretch and extended-answer practice, and preparation for specific target universities.

A-Level (international edition — the regular course, not the UK-based tutor course) starts at 2-hour lessons: ¥68,000 a month for four 2-hour lessons. Upper subjects (Further Mathematics) cost extra: ¥92,000 a month.
